I have been a homeless women for three years because of my history of domestic violence. New York does not help women who are single…..Not even Safe Horizon. I didn’t choose to be homeless. Being homeless was very traumatic but now I’m just getting my feet wet of life again with help from therapy to God. I wish everybody understand that homeless isn’t all honky dory. I’d lost my dreams once now I’m just getting back. NYC just doesn’t help homeless women who are single from housing to economics.
